Have you been loving Lilac as much as us? Are you wondering how to incorporate it into your home? Don't worry, we're not going to go and tell you paint your walls purple - although that would be pretty awesome! We had a lot of fun creating three lilac looks to inspire you to incorporate our favourite new shade! If you have been wondering where a Lilac Shorty would work or weren't quite sure how to style it up, hopefully these three looks will get your imagination going!
We teamed up with the lovely, colourful Kip & Co, using their beautiful and oh-so-soft linen to create some beautiful bedside styles!
Look One - Pastel Perfect
Lilac and Blush, Pink and Purple, basically a match made in heaven! For this look we used the 'Strawberries + Cream' bedding set - if you're a fan of our Blush, it's a bit more pink but works beautifully! We love the way the pink just pops next to the Lilac, and it makes the perfect colour palette for some floral accents, just like we have done here on the Shorty in Lilac to the Left.
If you've been keeping an eye on trends recently, you'll know that Lilac and gingham are having a moment, so this look is the double whammy!
Look Two - Lilac on Lilac
We really went Lilac on Lilac on Lilac with this one! We love it when everything matches so perfectly and the Kip and Co 'Dusty Lavender' sheets couldn't really be more of a better match for our Lilac. We joked about not making you paint your walls purple, but if you did want to do that (if you do send us a photo after please!) then we have a really handy tip. Once you have your locker, take the keyring to a DIY or paint store and a lot of the time they can just scan it and mix the exact colour. No more worrying trying to find the right swatch to match! Thank us later.
Look Three - Mermaid Vibes
This one is for the bright and bold among us, if you love your colour and aren't afraid to take risks, it always pay off! Here we have paired Lilac with blue and green accents, for a brilliant yet beachy vibe. There's something about it that makes us think of mermaids and we're into it! We can definitely see this style providing the most amazing splash of colour in an all-white room - anyone got a beach house we can borrow? We used the McMullin and Co Curved headboard to really make the 'Laurel Green' linens pop and we're loving the way it turned out.
Which one is your favourite? We'd love to hear! And as always, if you have added some Lilac to your life, or any locker for that matter, we love seeing them in all of your homes so feel free to show us your photos! You can leave us a comment or
