Our launch in the USA is almost upon us, it feels like we have blinked and it's already here. We know it is going to bring its challenges but we are taking our business to a whole new continent, that’s a pretty big deal! It has been a process, as it always is with any big business venture, so I wanted to share with you some of the story from behind the scenes. Something we have found super helpful is talking to people who have done it before us, learning from mistakes, soaking in all the advice our brains can...
The locker is a staple in American culture so Mustard just works, it is something we have known we would do since we started the business, and we feel so lucky that we are able to make it happen already. It’s a huge new venture for us as we haven’t launched in a new country since we launched in the UK way back in 2018, but we quickly realised we were going to have to do this one a little differently. For starters, we don’t have a third sister who lives in America to manage everything on the ground and help set up the business! We needed someone to fill that gap, that’s where Hannah comes in! We’d love to introduce you to the newest member of the Mustard family, we think she’s awesome!
We'd like to introduce you to Interiors Blogger Melanie Boyden (@melaniejadedesign on Instagram!). Mel recently addedThe Lowdown in Oliveto her life (her daughter’s choice!) We wanted to get to know her a little better and give you a peek at three different ways she chose to style her new locker in her home.
Not to be biased (although we totally are) but our baskets are pretty great. They come in all ten colours of our Mustard rainbow so you can colour co-ordinate them to your lockers, they fit easily underneath, on top or on the shelves. We are always surprised by how much they can hold!
Well, that got us thinking - we should to put that to the test! Of course we had to have some fun with it, making it colourful and beautiful as always, but how much can our baskets actually hold? Let's find out!
We are Becca + Jess. We are sisters. We are similar. We look similar (apparently, although we can't see it!) We have lots of the same mannerisms and catchphrases, we pick up on what one another says. We laugh at the same time and at the same things. We have similar tastes. We have goals that are aligned. But... we are also quite different.
If you have an extra shelf or two that you don't know what to do with, we have the DIY for you! We are going to show you how to turn your extra shelf into a magnetic noticeboard, to keep all of your to-do lists, reminders and happy photos on show. You can colour coordinate it to your locker too, and you know how we love to match our lockers!
We ask the experts so you don't have to! This week, we interviewed Jean Egbunike, who knows a thing or two about PR. Jean is passionate about shining a spotlight on brands in the interiors, food + beverage and lifestyle space. Through her agency JE Communications, Jean has been delivering results for boutique brands for over 15 years.
We are Mustard and we make lockers. If you're reading this now, maybe you already know this. Maybe you have a locker, or a whole collection of lockers, or you might be waiting to get your hands on one!
Here are 10 things you might not know about our lockers.
There is nothing we love more than seeing lockers out there in the world and finding out how people use them in their own homes. When we sawthe Lowdown in Blushpop up on the Instagram feed ofMartha Brook London, it made our hearts so happy!
Martha Brook are creators of beautiful stationery, desk accessories and gifts. They also so happen to love Blush as much as we do and if you love to colour co-ordinate like us (who doesn't?!) their stationery matches our lockers beautifully.
Our make-your-own series is back and this might just be our favourite one yet... This week, we're making this super cute, perfectly sized and really easy to make daisy mirror!
This little DIY is perfect for those handy hooks on the back of your locker door, right there ready for when you're getting ready in the morning, to put a smile on your face and make life a little bit easier all at the same time!
Today we are back again for our 'Meet the Expert' series and this week we are talking to the amazing Chloe Hardisty, founder of cult craft brand Cotton Clara. Cotton Clara began as a side hustle when Chloe was on maternity leave and has grown into a colourful craft empire with a unique personality. After all the changes that swept across the world in 2020, craft has really become a treasured outlet and source of joy for many of us.
