Three ways to style The Skinny
We have a lot of love for The Skinny, especially when there are three all lined up in a row.
One of our favourite (and most popular) looks of all time is a lineup of tall, slender Skinnys. And there are SO many different ways to combine them… 220 different ways to be exact! (Yes, we did have to get the calculator to work that one out!) But with so many options, how can you possibly make a decision?
To help you out, we thought we'd share some of our favourite super-simple Skinny styling strategies (yaSSSSS for alliteration!)
three of a kind
There are plenty of adjectives we could use for this look — classic, sophisticated, nostalgic. No matter how you describe it, we love it! Combining three Skinnys in the same colourway will give you subtle, minimalist vibes with maximum storage impact.
Stick to the neutrals for a truly classic look, or spice things up with a bit of colour. Becca's favourite look of all time is a lineup of Olive Skinnys, but you could go really bold with Berry or Poppy!
ombre + tonal
If you're keen to introduce a bit of depth to your colour palette, ombre is your hombre. This gradual evolution of colour, from White through pastel to deeper tones, is a softer beautiful way to introduce layers of colour into your space.
Whether it's warm tones of pink, cooler blues or natural greens, an ombre look is a great way to layer tones while keeping the palette tight. A limited colour range in a space will always give you that 'pulled together' feeling.
mix + match
Our third styling strategy is the mix and match. This is our favourite way to get as much colour as possible into a space. When you just can't pick a favourite, have them all! Picture bright pops of your eye-catching colours that really make a statement.
The possibilities are endless with this look. You can go for a warm palette, a cool palette, play with pastels, pick primary colours or neutrals. Mix and match to create your own unique colour palette. The entire Mustard rainbow is your playground!
