How to Style: Poppy

A Skinny locker in Poppy stands out in a white, airy room filled with plants and natural light.

She's red-hot and ready to go. Meet our bright pop of pigment, Poppy!

There's nothing neutral about Poppy, and we love that about her! She manages to be classic yet modern, bright yet not too loud and — perhaps surprisingly — she can be styled in a whole lot of different ways.

"Poppy is an iconic shade of red with a retro-inspired vibe." — Becca

While she's certainly a bold colour, we love how versatile our Poppy is. She's as happy nestled up with our soft pink palette as she is in a nostalgic primary-coloured space (letterbox red just makes sense in a locker!) For an industrial-inspired take on Poppy, we love to see her styled with stark monochrome. After all, Poppy's a star, so it's best to let her shine! Here are three of our favourite Poppy styling palettes.

pink + Poppy

For a romantic, hyper-feminine style, pair Poppy with a pink palette (try saying that three times fast!) We love creating an ombre lineup of lockers from Blush to Berry and Poppy. Make life look like a Valentine's Day card all year round with this trio of colours and a more-is-more maximalist aesthetic. For a more pared-back approach, style pink and Poppy with airy, bright neutrals and white walls. Adding in some greenery in the form of plant life helps to anchor the look and offset all those warm tones.

back to primary school

Bring out the richness of Poppy's red and amp up the nostalgic vibes by styling her with primary colours. Poppy takes on a moodier edge when paired with Navy for a deep, warm combination. Mustard and Poppy make for a playful combination while Olive (okay, fine, not technically a primary colour!) is the perfect earthy offset to Poppy's brightness. Combine all four for a vintage-inspired palette that's cool and classic.

monochrome with a pop

Sometimes, the simplest solution is the best one. When it comes to Poppy, her vibrant hue is bright enough to let her stand alone! For a look that really packs a powerful punch, style Poppy with monochrome shades of black, white and grey. You could let one Poppy piece have the spotlight (like this solo locker in a crisp white room) or combine a few Poppy pieces as an accent in an otherwise muted space. It's a timeless take on a colour we never tire of.
